The Event:   5,000 meter Cross Country Race (Open to all runners!)
     Here is your chance to challenge the Famed Belmont Plateau
     Cross Country Course. Site of many past NCAA, Olympic,
     National and High School Champions and is one of the most
     famous XC courses in the country! Whether you are a PCL
     alumni or interested runner, you are invited to join us and see
     what you can do at Belmont and support Philadelphia Catholic
     League Athletics.   The Open race will be held proceeding the
     girls and boys PCL Championship Races. Plan to come early and
     stay all day for a great day of XC racing!

Where: Belmont Plateau (Fairmount Park). Park is located just off the
     Montgomery Ave. exit of RT 76 (Schuylkill Expressway). Parking
     on site.

When:    Saturday, October 18, 2008     1 pm

Amenities:    First 150 runners receive T-Shirts, Refreshments at the finish.

  Philadelphia Catholic League Open TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP (Jack Saint Clair Award)
Open only to Philadelphia Catholic League Teams (all PCL graduates , make sure
to fill list your Catholic League school and date you graduated on individual form.
You did not have to of run XC in high school to count for your PCL school in the race.
Top 3 overall from each school will count in the scoring with points taken from overall
place in the race.   Lowest total of the 3 scoring runners is awarded winner.   
Name of PCL School on the Perpetual Trophy and medals to scoring runners of 1st team
Silver medals to team members of 2nd place team (Men and Women)   

                          
 USATF Mid Atlantic Championship Awards
 The PCL Open is also serving as the USATF XC Championship for 2008. Awards
 open to mid atlantic usatf members of good standing on race day.  USATF Awards
 to the following:  (USATF Awards will be presented in Jan/200
9 at awards luncheon.
 *Overall Champion (M & F)    $50 plus USATF Gold Medal
  Top 3 in following age groups (19 and under, 20-29,30-39,40-49, 50-59,60-69,70+)
               Open Men's Team (14-39)       Declare 8/Score 5    1st place team/medals
               Open Women Team (14-39)    Declare 5/Score 3     1st place team/medals
               Master Men's Team (40+)        Declare 8/Score 5    1st Place team/medals
