Where: Belmont Plateau, Philadelphia, Pa. (Belmont Plateau is located 1/4 mile west off the Montgomery
Drive Exit of the Schuylkill Expressway (Rt 76). Intersection of Montgomery Dr and Belmont Mansion Dr).
Courses: The Men's 5 Mile course ("old course) was designed by "Saint" in the 1960s and
include Flagpole,Surekill, and Nursery Hills. The Belmont Plateau course is one
of the most historic and challenging XC courses in the country, one that every
XC runner should run. The course is a mix of grass and gravel trails. The 5 mile "Classic"
course is one of the most challenging XC courses in the USA (Site of the 1976 USA Open
Championship) and a "true cross country" course.
The Women's 6,000 course will be an extended version of the high school course
and will include Flagpole, Parachute and Nursery Hill. Mens and Women Course Maps

Men's 5 Mile Championship 2:10 PM
Awards: Men's 5 mile and Women's 6,000
Top 5 Overall in Race. 1st ($100 and award), 2nd ($50 and award), 3rd ($25 and award)
4th (Gift Cert.), 5th (Gift Cert). Top 2 in 10 year age. 29 and under, 30-39, 40-49,
50-59, 60 +. Awards ceremony will follow shortly after each race. Gift certificate award to
the first USATF Mid Atlantic finisher. $300 to the 5 Mile Course record breaker of Dave
Merrick (24:44) Record set in Big Five Championship in 1975.
The Jack Saint Clair Memorial is sanctioned by the USATF and is part
of the 2010 USATF Mid Atlantic Cross Country Series. For more info

*** The Jack Saint Clair Memorial XC Championship will serve as the 2010 USA Track
& Field Mid Atlantic Men (5 Mile) and Women (6,000) meter XC Championship. To be
eligible for the Championship, runner must be a 2010 USA Track and Field (Mid Atlantic)
Member.
Amenities: The first 75 runners to sign up will be guaranteed a Tshirt. Post race food and beverages will be available.
Parking and porta-potties on site.
Race Day: Race Day Registration and Race Bib # pickup will take place at the starting line area on Belmont Plateau
starting at 12 NOON. (Race start at 1:30 pm [women] will follow the Belmont Classic College Races).
Benefits: Proceeds will benefit the Philadelphia Athletic Charities mission to aid in the
continued maintenance of the Belmont Plateau Cross Country Courses.
